Having graduated from PWSC’s Millwright program in May 2021, Jared Humphrey is now working for Hecla Greens Creek Mine in Juneau, AK.
Over 65 teachers from across the state attended PWSC's “For Teachers" courses in Valdez and Cordova.
This year, there will be 55 developmental Play Lab readings. The authors are in attendance, and afterward, they receive feedback from a panel of professionals. There are also three 8 p.m. performances at the Valdez Civic Center, free and open to the public.
Susan Harding has contributed much to the college in her 21 years working for PWSC. As a dual enrollment teacher, she has influenced countless students, and as the PWSC Cordova Extension Site Coordinator, she continues to motivate and help students achieve their goals.
This year, the capstone class project for PWSC outdoor leadership students is a 14-day kayak trip from Whittier to Valdez. According to Dr. Benjamin Rush, Assistant Professor of Outdoor Leadership, this is a student-planned and led expedition
University of Alaska Chancellor Sean Parnell presented PWSC Director Dan O’Connor with a certificate of appreciation from the Alaska State Legislature. This certificate honors Dr. O’Connor for his many contributions and service to Prince William Sound College and the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Prince William Sound College’s “Alaska Tech Learners” (ATL) dual enrollment web engineering program will be highlighted at the 2022 STEM for All Video Showcase: Access, Inclusion, and Equity.
