A PWSC alumnus, Matt Schiffner, spoke to first-year outdoor leadership students about his experiences. He shared his passion for the outdoors, gave practical advice, and credited his brother, coach, and Silas Jensen for shaping his values and work ethic.

When asked about his experience in the program, Hansen shared, "It was awesome!" He continued, "I learned a lot about professionalism, taking your time, thinking about what you're doing, and doing it right. I use those lessons every day."

She exclaimed, "I had no idea what to expect, but I am gradually developing a passion for environmental science and the program. Learning in the classroom and applying it in the field is fascinating. We have an excellent opportunity to observe the world around us and connect it to forthcoming issues, which is amazing."
