Employee Experience Department Visits PWSC

We were excited to welcome Ahmbra Austin, director of employee experience, and Heather Jensen, media and events coordinator, from the UAA Employee Experience Department, to PWSC this week. Their visit was all about meeting us where we are, learning more about our campus, and sharing resources to help employees feel connected and supported.

The Employee Experience Department offers programs and opportunities that enhance work-life balance at UAA. From New Employee Orientation to Synergy Groups, the Inside Look series, Varsity Sports Grill mixers, and more, Ahmbra and Heather are dedicated to building a sense of community and ensuring that every employee feels included.

Their mission is to foster a sense of belonging across UAA’s campuses and within local communities, guided by the core values of Collaboration, Wellness, Recognition, and Development. They are dedicated to creating spaces that foster professional growth, promote wellness activities, and cultivate social connections, thereby strengthening UAA’s workplace culture.

Ahmbra and Heather shared how the department works to uplift the employee experience and encouraged us to get involved with upcoming programs and opportunities. We look forward to staying connected and continuing the conversation they started with us here at PWSC.
