Meet the instructors of PWSC's Construction Academy

Students from rural communities throughout Alaska have traveled to Valdez to attend PWSC’s Construction Academy. The academy consists of a series of non-credit courses that will train students in the skills needed to earn a State of Alaska Handyman certification. Sarah King is excited to start her studies at Prince William Sound College. She has been admitted into the outdoor leadership program. For Sarah, it was a desire to be “working for the park service” and a yearning “for a more rugged experience in the backcountry” that brought the New Jersey native to Valdez, Alaska.
