PWSC Welcomes Interim College Director Dr. Dale Jones

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Dale Jones as Prince William Sound College's Interim
College Director.
Dr. Jones officially began serving in the role on June 28. Since joining PWSC in 2022, he has served as an adjunct professor and later as Residence Life Coordinator and Housing Manager. He brings more than 30 years of experience in education, including over 20 years in higher education. Dr. Jones holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership, an M.A. in Mathematics Education, an M.S. in Agriculture, and a B.S. in Agronomy.
As he begins this new chapter, Dr. Jones shared:
"I appreciate this opportunity to serve as the interim director during this transition period. During the past four years, I have observed the commitment of faculty and staff to make PWSC successful... We are not in a valley looking up, trying to find our way. I feel we are standing on the crest of a hill and we need to ask ourselves, 'Are you ready to see beyond the hill?'
PWSC is at a critical crossroads, and the foundation of what is next has been laid down by hard-working staff and faculty. Let's continue to do the work and celebrate the successes as these plans come to fruition. There is much to do and, more importantly, much we can do to keep progressing forward."
We also want to thank Dr. Dennis Humphrey for his leadership and dedication to PWSC. We appreciate everything he has done to support our students, faculty, staff, and the communities we serve.
Congratulations, Dr. Jones. We look forward to the future of PWSC under your leadership and to continuing the work already underway.
