The KIN 287 Leadership and Outdoor Recreation class, under the guidance of Benjamin Rush, assistant professor of outdoor leadership, and Megan Renz, a Kennicott Wilderness guide, went on a four-day adventure to McCarthy, Alaska. Student spotlight: Jane Churchill

Jane Churchill is completing two natural resources certificates and working towards a two-year outdoor leadership degree. She excelled in PWSC's marine natural resources technician program and needs one more credit to finish. Dr. Amanda Glazier helped her secure an internship at the Alutiiq Pride Marine Institute, where she gained hands-on experience in ocean chemistry, ocean acidification, and research techniques.
