Rosel Burt, a recent Prince William Sound College graduate, earned Occupational Endorsement Certificates in Natural Resources and Marine Natural Resources Technician. This summer, she applied her training with the Copper River Watershed Project, where she assisted with invasive plant management, field surveys, and community outreach. We spoke with Amanda Jackson, Watershed Stewardship Program Manager, to learn more about Rosel’s work and impact.

She joined us for the Golden Opportunities Luncheon, where she connected with community members in a joyful gathering that celebrated Valdez’s legacy and spirit of resilience.
This summer, three dynamic educators joined Prince William Sound College’s Small Engines 2.1 – Yamaha Maintenance Certifications for Teachers course. They came from different corners of Alaska, but shared a common goal: bring relevant, hands-on technical education back to their students and communities.
