Nola Kaplan

It was a high school outdoor wilderness program that first inspired Nola Kaplan’s
love for the outdoors, and now she is following her passion as a student in PWSC’s
outdoor leadership program.
“When I was in the 9th grade, my parents enrolled me in my first outdoor wilderness
program. And that started my passion for the outdoors, backpacking, and snowboarding.
All through high school, I continued doing outdoor education.”
After high school, Nola knew she wanted to pursue a career in the outdoors. She researched
programs and learned about outdoor leadership at PWSC. As someone who’d never been
to Alaska, and who loves adventure, Nola decided she “wanted to give it a shot and
see what happens!”
Welcome to Alaska and PWSC, Nola!
