SMS Terms & Conditions

Program Description

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS (text message) communications from Prince William Sound College (PWSC), a community campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage.

SMS communications may include, but are not limited to:

  • Admissions and recruitment messages

  • Application and enrollment status updates

  • Deadlines, reminders, and next-step notifications

  • Academic advising and student support communications

  • Program updates, events, and opportunities

Message content may vary based on your relationship with PWSC (prospective student, applicant, or enrolled student).

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on engagement and status, but typically does not exceed 4 messages per month.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Prince William Sound College is not responsible for any charges incurred by your mobile carrier.

Opt-In Consent

You opt in to receive SMS messages from Prince William Sound College by voluntarily providing your mobile phone number through an official PWSC online form, lead form, or other communication channel where SMS consent language is clearly presented, and by affirmatively agreeing to receive text messages (such as selecting a checkbox or submitting a form indicating consent).

Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of admission, enrollment, or participation in any Prince William Sound College program.

Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages unless you choose to re-enroll.

Eligibility

By opting in, you confirm that you are the authorized user of the mobile number provided and that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Changes to These Terms

Prince William Sound College reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
