Grant Funding Opportunity Available for Fall 2026 Trades Programs

Prince William Sound College is excited to announce that grant funding is now available for eligible students enrolling in the Fall 2026 Marine Service Technology and Millwright Occupational Endorsement Certificate programs.
This funding is expected to cover tuition and fees for eligible students and may also include a housing stipend to assist with the cost of living while attending the program in Valdez. These hands-on training programs prepare students for careers in Alaska’s maritime and skilled trades industries through practical, workforce-focused instruction.
Funding is competitive and requires a separate application in addition to admission to the program. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early, as space in both programs is limited. The grant application deadline is June 7, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. AKT.
