Employee Spotlight: Jenna Hathaway

Some paths don’t just move forward; they come back around.

Jenna Hathaway started at Prince William Sound College and earned her associate degree in 2011. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Business Administration through UAS Sitka and is now working toward her master’s through UAF.

And now, she’s back.

Jenna is joining PWSC as our Accounts Payable, bringing both professional experience (most recently with Wells Fargo Bank) and a real connection to this place.

But what stands out most about Jenna isn’t just her path; it’s how she lives it.

She’s a mom of four, with kids ranging from elementary through high school, two already taking college classes. In their house, school isn’t something you do alone. They study together, read together, and help each other out. There’s always a book nearby, sometimes in hand, sometimes on audio, and a steady push to stay curious, not just about school, but about the world.

That mindset is showing up in a big way right now. If all goes as planned, Jenna will earn her master’s next year while her daughter graduates with both her high school diploma and her associate degree.

Outside of work, that same approach carries over. Time is spent hunting, fishing, beading, and planning for what’s next, whether that’s travel, new experiences, or big family goals they’re working toward together.

It’s not separate. It’s shared.
