PWSC Open House Scholarship Fundraiser

Prince William Sound College is hosting the Open House Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, May 4, from 11:00 to 2:00 in the parking lot and atrium of the Valdez Campus. Tickets are $20, $10 for twelve-and-under, and include a meal with pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs, drinks, and sides. There will also be outdoor games.

Shahmeer Azmat is a nursing student at PWSC. He grew up in Pakistan and was inspired to go into the medical field after volunteering at an emergency department in his home city of 20 million people. During the summers he works as a wilderness therapy guide and he is an avid outdoor recreationist.

George Keeney is expanding EMS programming at PWSC

The former fire chief and emergency manager for Valdez, George Keeney, started as an adjunct instructor teaching emergency medical services (EMS) at PWSC. He is now a full-time faculty member and has been working to expand the EMS programming at PWSC.
