for Teachers courses now available online

Prince William Sound College will continue its popular "for Teachers" courses online. Course costs have been reduced to $119 for 3 500-level UAA credits. Classes will cover content in ALEKS Math, ALEKS Chemistry, Web Database Systems (MySQL), or NCCER Certification. Classes will be taught synchronously online and with instructor directed hands-on experiential learning projects that students can do at their homes. The classes will provide strategies for teachers to incorporate Math, ELA, Computer Science, and Cultural standards into place-based thematic units. Navigate to for more information.

Teachers have an option of two different sets of classes:
3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from April 20th - May 1st from 8:30am - 12:30pm. (will need an agreement signed by their school district to participate)
May 24-30, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Scholarships are available through an EED grant for the NCCER classes and an NSF grant for the web database classes.
