Welcome back, Joseph Williams!

College isn’t just about classes—it’s about community.
Our Resident Assistants (RAs) play a significant role in creating a sense of belonging,
from planning movie nights and hikes to answering questions and ensuring everyone
feels welcome.
This week, we’re excited to highlight Joseph Williams, who graduated this past May and has now returned to Prince William Sound College—this time to continue his education and serve as an RA! Joseph is ready to help new students settle in when the semester begins on Monday.
Joseph’s journey is truly inspiring. After a 27-year gap in his education, he returned
to college and earned his Occupational Endorsement Certificate (OEC) in Natural Resources
Technician. He’s now continuing his education, taking classes toward his Associate
of Arts degree in General Studies and OEC in Behavioral Health Assistant.
His path has been full of perseverance—balancing business ownership, family life,
a career as a professional hairstylist instructor, and the challenges of relocating
to a new town for school. Throughout it all, Joseph has maintained his focus on growth,
knowledge, and supporting others in achieving their goals.
These experiences have taught Joseph resilience, adaptability, and the value of building
connections—qualities that make him a perfect fit to support our student community
as an RA. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, helping residents navigate college
life, or sharing his hard-earned wisdom, Joseph is here to make campus feel like home.
Welcome back, Joseph—we’re so glad you’re part of the PWSC family again!
