Student spotlight: Breiland Willis

Breiland Willis, one of our students, recently completed the OEC in Marine Services Technology program, earning certifications from several leading industry organizations, including the American Boat and Yacht Council, Briggs and Stratton, the Equipment and Engine Training Council, Mercury Marine, and Yamaha Outboards.

Throughout the program, he gained hands-on experience in troubleshooting and servicing marine engines, installing and maintaining marine plumbing, electrical, and drive systems, repairing boat hulls, rigging outboards, and servicing boat trailers. The practical skills he gained in these areas have given him a strong foundation for his future career. With a deeper understanding of industry standards and career pathways, he described his experience in the program as rewarding and is excited to begin the next chapter of his journey.
