Short Format, Big Ideas: Explore Dystopian Writing

by V. Heisser  |

Short Format: Creative Writing, taught by Dr. Dennis Humphrey, associate professor of English, is a fun and engaging 1-credit workshop offered both online and in person, with no textbook required.

This year’s theme focuses on dystopian and post-apocalyptic writing—stories that imagine what life might be like in complex or uncertain futures. We’ll also explore real-world issues that reflect the challenges presented in these fictional worlds. You’ll have the opportunity to craft your original pieces, and at the end of the course, we’ll publish a collection featuring both student and teacher work.

This workshop is an excellent opportunity to develop your writing skills and share your unique perspective.
