Hilcorp Alaska presented at PWSC for millwright students, offering career opportunities, industry knowledge, and networking potential.

Hilcorp Alaska recently conducted a presentation for millwright students at PWSC.
The presentation had numerous benefits, such as providing valuable industry knowledge
and career opportunities to the students, creating networking and recruitment potential
for the company, offering real-world insights and enhanced learning, providing career
guidance and inspiration, and promoting community engagement and recognition.
Company presentations benefit students and fosters a strong partnership between the
college and industry. During the recent presentation, Hilcorp representatives David
Hart, an overhaul foreman, Joe DeRaeve, an overhaul foreman, and Mitch Wegner, a maintenance
manager, shared their experiences, challenges, and success stories, providing the
students with a realistic industry perspective. This insight is crucial for making
informed career decisions.
During the presentation, Mitch Wegner mentioned that PWSC has the only active millwright
program in the state and is recognized for producing highly skilled graduates. Hilcorp's
presence and presentation provides an opportunity for the company to identify and
recruit top talent directly from the program. This mutually beneficial relationship
serves students seeking job placements and the company by ensuring access to skilled
labor.
We sincerely thank David Hart, Joe DeRaeve, and Mitch Wegner for meeting and speaking
with our students about the various job opportunities. This presentation has been
a great success and has helped to strengthen the relationship between PWSC and Hilcorp.
