Employee spotlight: Sadie Blancaflor

by Vicki Heisser  |

We are excited to introduce Sadie Blancaflor, one of our new instructors. Sadie, an adjunct professor at PWSC and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, is deeply passionate about Alaska. This fall semester, she will teach Discovering Alaska and Earth's Physical Geography: From Weather to Glacier in Valdez, sharing her love and knowledge of this unique place.

When not teaching, Sadie works as the Terminal Operations Project Manager for the Prince William Sound Regional Citizens' Advisory Council. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Sadie recently graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Anthropology and a Master of Science in Earth Systems. In her free time, she enjoys beekeeping, gardening, spending time with her two labradoodles (Almond Joy and Coco), and savoring pastries from Rogue's Garden.

We are thrilled to welcome Sadie to PWSC!
