Screening of the 2019 American Indian Film Festival Best Feature Documentary: Attla with a discussion to follow the movie
PWSC Student Services and Residence Life staff are hosting a film screening of the 2019 American Indian Film Festival Best Feature Documentary: Attla with a discussion to follow the movie.
The film focuses on ten-time world dog mushing champion George Attla and his grandnephew

All staff, students and faculty are invited to watch and/or stay for the discussion after the film!
Moose soup and salmon appetizers will be offered for those who attend in-person.

The movie and disussion will take place on November 12 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the
student commons at PWSC in Valdez. Attend in person or join via Zoom.

Land Acknowledgement discussion
Our second event will be a Fun Fact Friday discussion on our PWSC land acknowledgment
for Valdez campus. Anna Bateman with Valdez Native Tribe will also be joining us,
since she played an integral role in our land acknowledgment. We will be meeting in
the Student Commons on November 19 at 9:00 am.
