The Pillowman

PWSC theatre's spring production is The Pillowman. The script is written by Oscar-winning writer/director Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri). In it, a creative writer named Katurian in an unnamed totalitarian state is being interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders.

The play stars Robert Covington as Katurian, Dennis Humphrey as Tupolski, Hannah Wassel as Ariel, and Alexander Wilder as Michal. The rest of the ensemble cast includes Heidi Franke, Dawson Moore, and Regan Radotich.

The production is directed by Jay Stevens. There will be two showings at 7:00 p.m. on March 22 and 23 at the Valdez Civic Center. It contains extreme language and violence and is appropriate for ages 18 and older. For more information, call 834-1614 or email dlmoore@alaska.edu.
