Technology for Teachers
COVID-19
Prince William Sound College will continue its popular "for Teachers" courses online. Course costs have been reduced to $119 for 3 500-level UAA credits. Classes will cover content in ALEKS Math, ALEKS Chemistry, Web Database Systems (MySQL), or NCCER Certification. Classes will be taught synchronously online and with instructor directed hands-on experiential learning projects that students can do at their homes. More information can be found on here.
E-Commerce for Teachers builds technical computing skills using a course that is part of the Alaska Tech Learner’s project. This year’s course teaches commercial web page development using HTML5 and CSS3. Teachers completing this course may choose to team with PWSC faculty to teach the Alaska Tech Learners curriculum at their high school for dual enrollment as a shared teaching assignment. The course will demonstrate how TECH A120 aligns to the State of Alaska technology and cultural standards. Outdoor and place-based activities that reinforce computer instruction and learning are included in the course.
