Small Group Communication (COMM A235) course for Fall 2022

Two students studying from a workbookIn today’s world, small group interactions are often an integral part of personal and professional lives. To successfully communicate and be effective in such environments requires certain skills.

This fall, PWSC is offering Small Group Communication - 77032 - COMM A235 – 101 taught by Dr. Teresa Barton, Regional Director of Adult Education and Teaching and Learning Coordinator. This 3-credit class studies the theories and skills related to communicating in small groups by focusing specifically on group relationships and group decision-making in both personal and professional contexts.

Students will develop or refine their communication skills through class exercises, activities, problem-solving, and group presentations. They will learn the skills necessary for the modern workplace and develop an understanding of the theories and principles of group communication.
