Ceramics Hand-Building

Wednesdays, October 11-November 15, 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

$150, includes supplies

Want to get clay under your nails and create some useful and decorative ceramic peices? Using hand-building techniques, such as slab,
coil, and pinch – students will have several project ideas from which to choose or can come to class with their very own. This six-week class is open to those 18+ (or 13+ if registering and attending with a legal gardian).

Women’s Safe for Life Self-Defense

Saturday, October 14, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.


This is world-renowned workshop is specifically designed for women and takes into consideration that men and women are approached and attacked differently, from the victim selection process, to the verbal and physical tactics used against them. The topics of rape and sexual assault are covered in great depth and much like the Fundamentals of Personal Protection workshop, the class will dive deep into the psychology of violence and closely examine the relation of human behavior to violence. The primary focus will be on the avoidance through both environmental and situational awareness as well as tried, tested, and proven psychological principles.
